Self-paced Device Configuration and Management courseware provides a foundation for an IT Tech Support Specialist role. The course focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to perform initial device setup and ongoing support to ensure smooth and secure operations of IT devices. Upon completion of the course, you should be able to independently install and configure Windows, manage applications and  , manage data on various types of storage, keep devices secure by taking preventive and reactive measures, and perform troubleshooting.

The course prepares learners for the Device Configuration and Management certification, which is one of the three certifications needed to receive an IT Tech Support Specialist credential, the other two certifications being

  1. Experience with the Windows operating system and main Microsoft applications
  2. Basic understanding of main peripheral connection types
  3. Experience with basic data access, storage, and sharing operations
  4. Basic understanding of device security and the main security threats
  5. Basic knowledge of device, operating system, and application troubleshooting

    The IT Specialist Device Configuration and Management exam voucher allows you to validate your new skills and take the next step on your journey to becoming a tech professional.

    The IT Specialist Device Configuration and Management exam maximum time length is 50 minutes to complete the exam. The estimated number of questions that will be on your IT Specialist Device Configuration and Management exam is between 31 and 41 questions.
